The Garner High School building is turning 100 years old! Come celebrate with a FREE concert on the lawn. Enjoy music by The Soul Psychedelique Orchestra, an eleven-piece band playing pop music for every generation including Motown, beach music, country, and your favorite contemporary hits! This event will be held on the Garner Performing Arts Center’s Back Lawn next to the Avery Street Playground. Food trucks will be onsite. North Carolina- based Nu-Blu blazes the trail in acoustic entertainment, bringing lively versions of Americana bluegrass music to audiences across the nation. Their sound pays tribute to traditional bluegrass roots while daring to include contemporary innovation. Their broad range of influences include musical forefathers Earl Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, and Lester Flatt, the modern stylings of Alison Krauss and Union Station, and even rock bands of the 1980s.
